Excellent new micropub in a part of town that could really do with a source of good, local ales. It's been open less than two weeks, but is apparently doing very well. My half of Blue Bee Hillfoot Best was fantastic. There were three other beers on the five hand pumps, with one coming soon (see photos for other beers - all from Sheffield breweries). Staff were friendly and helpful and although there were only about half a dozen people in at the time of my visit (shortly after opening time), everyone was talking to each other. The grey paint - outside and in - is a bit bleak, so I reckon they could do with some colourful pictures. The bar counter and shelves seem to have been made from recycled timber, which is good to see. They should probably think about some soft furnishings or curtains to deaden the noise, as I can imagine there will be a tipping point where everyone is no longer talking but shouting at each other. I'll be back to see how they're getting on.
